The magician asks a spectator for a coin. He covers it with a handkerchief and hands it back to the spectator to hold. Under the handkerchief he places a small cup and asks the spectator to let the coin fall into the cup. The spectator does so. The coin clearly falls into the cup.
The magician says the magic words, the handkerchief is pulled and the coin has disappeared!
